Price:

  • Pre-Registration: $85 per entry

    • STRONGLY RECOMMDED as spots are limited

    • Register by Oct 3rd to reserve boxed lunch

  • $95 per entry day of, if available

  • Optional second shoot an additional $65.

Awards for High Overall Woman, High Overall Man, High Overall Junior, and High Overall Hunt Team plus door prizes including flat of shells, next year’s entry fee, and wine.

This event is for both serious shooters as well as beginners who want to try their hand at this sport, pick up some instruction from experts, and have a lot of fun without the pressure of competition. It is open to everyone! You don’t need to be a member of a hunt club to partake.

This is a National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) registered shoot. You are not required to be member, but a free one year membership is available if desired

The event will be held at Mike and Betty Long's Skeet Shooting Range just off River Road, on a beautiful knoll where a sophisticated set of remote-control automatic traps have been arranged to offer three different venues of shooting experiences. It will be open to the public and will take place rain or shine.

The emphasis will be on safety first, fun second. The entire shoot will be supervised by the experienced competitive shooters. These Range Safety Officers will oversee all the shooting and enforce the highest standards of safety as well as give basic help and instruction for beginners.

There will be two rounds available, the first (1 course of mainly report pairs) and a Optional Advanced Sportsmen's Shoot (mostly simo pairs). Participants who register by October 3rd will also receive lunch. The fee covers the cost of clays. The fee does not cover ammunition. Ammo will NOT be available for sale due to short current supply.

    • Entries will be confirmed as they are received.

    • Please confirm if you are entering as an beginner and would like assistance.

  • Do not mail checks, they will be collected at the shoot in the morning.

  • Registration begins at 8:30am and the shoot begins at 9:00am.

    • Start time is flexible, but you must be on the course by 1:30pm.

  • Sponsorships for each shooting station is available for $100 (sign posted at shooting position)

  • Volunteers needed! The clay shoot is a lot of fun, but it takes a lot of people to make it a successful day. There are 24 stations, so we need a minimum of 24 volunteers (up to 48 if folks work a half day). We had some great volunteers last year in spite of the heat. Luckily it should be much cooler this year! Please let Mark or Vicky know if you’re able to volunteer.
